After seeing a photo online, I was determined to find this park. Yet locals didn’t know it, only foreigners. I know this was true because on my way there at the bus terminal in Uskudar, I was approached by an employee and he asked me where I was going. When I told him I was looking for Bus 15M he quickly answered: Otağtepe, beautiful view.

Located on the Anatolian side (Asian side of Istanbul), from Uskudar it’s about a 40 minute bus ride. The park is small but the view is breathtaking. An amazing view overlooking Fatih Sultan Ahmet Bridge, the Bosphorus and in the distance the Bosphorus Bridge can be seen.

Towards the left, towards the Sea of Marmara you can see the Bosphorus Bridge in the distance.

Towards the right, past Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the Bosphorus leads into the Black Sea.

And for the record I was the only foreigner there that day, but I did leave when I saw two different wedding photoshoots taking place.

From Uskudar: Bus 15M to Otağtepe
From Kadıköy: Bus 14M to Otağtepe
When you get off the bus walk exit to the left towards Otağtepe Kafe and turn right on Doğal Sokak, it’s about a 5 minute walk to reach the park.
