Every April, millions of tulips decorate Emigran Park (Emigran Korusu) full of different colors and varieties. Located on the Southern side of the Bosphorus, on the European side of Istanbul.
This year marks the 10th Annual Tulip Festival. For the past 10 years, the government of Istanbul has planted millions of tulips each fall to bloom each spring in public parks, traffic roundabouts and along avenues, but the display of tulips at Emirgan is by far the best.
Hundreds of gardens, full of tulips line the walkway throughout the park. Special flower arrangements included the Turkish flag, the municipality logo, a rainbow, a star, two swans kissing and a peacock.
It’s apparently also the ideal spot for engagement and wedding photos, I saw 25+ brides doing photoshoots, plus countless kids dressed in nice outfits being forced by their parents to pose for photos.
Because I had such an amazing day at the Tulip Festival at Emirgan Park, I went back for more, see Part 2.
