Ranked as one of the top 10 places to eat kofte in Istanbul, Köfteci Ali Baba, is a small corner shop located in Arnavutköy. With limited seating, the small menu only consists of köfte, soup, bean salad, green salad, yogurt, helva and beverages: ayran, soda, water and tea.

The köfte (turkish meatball) plate is served with fresh tomatoes, onions, parsley and a spicy green pepper. Spicy köfte sauce is brought to the table separately, for you to add accordingly. If you can’t handle spicy, add sparingly.

Köfte / Turkish Meatballs
Köfte is a staple in Turkish cuisine and a meal you should not leave Turkey without trying. If you can’t make it to Köfteci Ali Baba in Arnvautköy, then I highly recommend Tarihi Sultanahmet Köftecisi Selim Usta across the street from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in Sultanahmet.
