Within Bebek Park, on the promenade along the water, sometimes you can find a boat docked before the Egyptian Consulate. Small stools and tables are set up near the boat, suggesting tea service…what you don’t expect is that the tea is being made and served from the boat itself. It’s cheap (1TL), delicious, and provides a seat with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus.

I had read once that tourists LOVE apple tea, but locals never drink it. When finding that he served it, I was eager to try. I can now understand why tourists love apple tea, it’s sweet, citrusy and refreshing. Too sweet for my liking, but definitely a drink to cure a sweet tooth craving.
